It's that time of year again when we conjure up the ghosts of spirits past with our one-of-a-kind Ghost Winery bottling. Each year, we create a unique varietal to celebrate our century old "ghost winery." Built in 1885 and carefully renovated by Flora and Jerry Komes in 1977, we suspect this historic stone cellar may have more than a few ghosts lingering within its storied walls - funny how no one wants to work here late at night!

Sourced from a small vineyard at the base of Atlas Peak, this otherworldly, limited-production vintage is sure to send a thrill down your spine. Haunting aromatics of black cherry, rhubarb and black licorice are followed by a luscious flavor profile reminiscent of fresh blackberries, boysenberries and sweet vanillan extract. This is a big wine, but with soft tannins that are remarkably approachable.

Label Design
As with other wines in our Ghost Winery series, our 2011 Syrah features a label designed exclusively for this vintage by Virginia-based artist Wes Freed, best known for his Drive By Truckers CD cover art.

And in keeping with our All Hallows' Eve theme, each bottle is topped with either a black or orange wax-dipped capsule (capsule color randomly selected).
